How is this different from a shared calendar?
A shared calendar records bookings you have already agreed to. This takes the request in the first place: the public sees live availability, submits a request against it, and you approve. The calendar is the output, not the process.
Can people book without creating an account?
Yes. The public booking page works from a link, with no account required to see availability or submit a request. That matters for casual and one-off bookings, which is where most facilities lose demand to friction.
Can I stop bookings from being confirmed automatically?
Yes — the approval workflow is optional but on by default for exactly this reason. Requests queue for review, and nothing occupies a slot until a staff member approves it.
Does it handle more than one site?
Yes. Multi-venue support gives each site its own operating hours, pricing tiers and booking constraints. There is no per-venue surcharge — the flat price covers all of them.
What about recurring bookings for a league season?
A weekly slot can be granted for a whole season as one recurring series rather than a booking per week, and cancelling can release the series together.
Do we have to take payment online?
No. You can collect card payment at the time of booking, where the slot is only held once payment lands, or invoice organisers on account and track it to paid. Both work; plenty of facilities use each for different customers.
