Setting up takes about twenty minutes. You will create your organisation, add the spaces people book, decide who on your staff can do what, and then either start entering bookings yourself or open your public booking page to customers.
1. Create your account
Sign up with your name, email, a password of at least eight characters, your organisation name, and your timezone. The timezone matters more than it looks: every booking time in the product is interpreted against it, so set it to where the facility physically is, not where you happen to be.
Sports Booking Management is a single paid plan at $79 per month, so you enter a card during signup. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the rate you sign up at is locked for as long as you stay subscribed — later price rises do not apply to you.
2. Add your venues
A venue is anything someone can book: a court, a field, a half-field, a studio, a lane, a cage. Add them by name first and refine them later. There is no venue limit on the paid plan, so model each separately bookable space as its own venue rather than trying to squeeze several into one.
Once the names are in, open each venue and set its operating hours and booking constraints. Those two settings do most of the work of stopping bad bookings before they happen.
3. Invite your team
Invite staff by email and give each of them a role. Members can view the calendar and make bookings; admins can also manage venues, team, and settings. You can skip this during onboarding and do it later from Members.
4. Decide how bookings arrive
There are two ways bookings get into the calendar, and most facilities use both.
- Your staff enter them from the dashboard calendar — click any empty slot to open the booking form
- Customers book themselves through your public booking page at your-organisation.sportsbookingmanagement.com
While you are setting up, only you and your admins can see the public page, as a preview. It opens to customers when you go live, and you can switch it off any time in Settings.
5. Bring your history across
If you are moving from Skedda, import your existing bookings as soon as you go live so your calendar is not empty and your regulars keep their slots. The importer maps your Skedda spaces onto your venues and your Skedda bookers onto users.
What to check before you go live
- Operating hours are right for every venue, including the days you are closed
- Your timezone in Settings matches the facility
- Booking durations and time increments match how you actually sell
- If you are taking payment online, Stripe shows charges and payouts enabled
- You have made one test booking end to end and received the email
